# Unlink an Activity from its Account

> Clear an activity's account_id (and deal_id, since deals belong to accounts).

Clears `account_id` **and** `deal_id` — an activity can't hold a deal link without an account link, so both are cleared together.

### Auth

Requires a CRM manage [scope](/authentication#scopes) and an active organization on the token. Any `*:manage` scope qualifies — in practice `contacts:manage`, `deals:manage`, `companies:manage`, or `activities:manage`.

### Response

### Errors
