An account is a company. It’s the anchor other records attach to: contacts belong to it, deals get won or lost against it, activities and files can reference it, and account-level health scoring aggregates signal from everything underneath it.

What an account carries

Beyond identity (name, domain, website), an account tracks a small set of firmographic fields — industry (from a fixed, canonical list), size range, annual revenue, LinkedIn URL, address, and free-form tags and custom fields for anything your organization wants to track that doesn’t have a dedicated column.

Account health

Like deals, accounts have a computed health score — a rule-based signal aggregated from factors like engagement recency and deal outcomes. It’s refreshed on demand rather than continuously, and the most recent snapshot (or an empty result, if none has ever been computed) is always available to read.

Relationships

  • Contacts roll up to an account once linked — either directly, or as the result of converting a contact through the funnel described in Contacts.
  • Deals belong to exactly one account.
  • Activities can be logged directly against an account, independent of any specific deal or contact.
